How to sell your toys!

This is a re-post from last January. We sell a lot toys at Rhea Lana’s and the best looking, cleanest ones sell first! Here are some tips worth repeating so you can get top dollar for your outgrown toys:

The 3 balls are in a zip lock and secured to the toy.

There are some very smart moms who shop at Rhea Lana’s. They know a good value when they see it and at every event there are excellent condition toys for a bargain price! I love to come home with birthday or Christmas presents. OR, that toy they’ve wanted for awhile but I just couldn’t pay the full retail price for!

A shopper can see that all the pieces are here.

When selling your toys at Rhea Lana’s it’s good to remember two things:
1) Toys are heavily shopped so the toys need to be packaged and labeled well.
2) If they aren’t clean and don’t work, do not bring them.

Little Shape People and bus. The bag is taped to the bus.

I use a lot of zip lock bags with my toys. A box of gallon bags is about $2 and I can use them for my toys and shoes and get that money back. It seems everything has a ball, block or an action figure so they need to be secured. Who wants a Little People bus without Little People?

**Package pieces in a zip lock and tape it closed.
**Tape the bag of pieces to the plastic toy.
**Safety pin the tag to the bag.

**If the toy is large you can put a label on the toy with your consignor number and price. If the tag gets torn off, your item can still be sold and tracked back to you.

This train is adorable when set up. However it has 3 cars and 3 animals. It would be almost impossible to keep all the pieces together without a bag. A shopper can see all the pieces here and they will all be together!

About jennifer

I never dreamed when I married my prince charming that his sister and I would be in business together! I'm so blessed to be part of Rhea Lana's as a franchise owner and franchise support. If I wasn't part of the family, I'd sure want to be!

A word about puzzles: Last year I bought puzzles and someone had bundled several together with tape. I still bought the bundle even though I knew the top one would be ruined because it was a great value. Please don’t use tape on puzzles! It would be a much better idea to use saran wrap to hold them together and then tape over saran if needed.
